Villa Domini
"Villa Domini", is situated at the foot of the Pisan hills in a village called Lugnano di Vicopisano.
It is a few kilometres from Pisa and near the main Tuscan cities famous for their history and art
(Florence, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano, Montecatini, San Miniato, Volterra..).
Within easy reach of "Villa Domini" the visitor will also find the sea
(Marina di Pisa, Tirrenia, Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi), the mountains (Abetone), the Natural Parks
of San Rossore and Val di Cornia, the Chianti countryside as well as the areas dedicated to
the production of olive oil.
Set in a luxuriant park, lush with exotic plants and conifers, surrounded by high walls the villa
provides a unique oasis of perfect tranquillity as well as privacy.
Built in the 18th Century, "Villa Domini" is an elegant and refined family residence.
Due to its historical, artistic and architectural value it is under the protection of the Ministry
for National Heritage. The quarters offered to guests are on the second floor, where we can observe
the wonderful arches supported by sturdy Tuscan columns.
The rooms are decorated with splendid floral motifs in the 19th century neoclassical style.
The park offers woodland alternating with grassy glades enriched by evocative works of considerable
historic and artistic value such as an artificial grotto, a medieval turret after which "Villa Domini"
is named, a rustic little stone bridge, cottage orné, the remains of marble columns,
statues and fountains.
Guests can park on the premises and have independent access to their rooms.
Every room has a colour TV with satellite dish.
Guests can relax in an elegant lounge, do exercise with the gym equipment provided,
or observe the park from the open gallery.
Cycling enthusiasts can take advantage of the 2 bicycles at their disposal.
Guests at "Villa Domini" have independent access both to the house itself
(it's possibile to drive in and park in the grounds) and to the rooms at their disposal.
Camera Rosa (The Pink Bedroom)
The pink bedroom is independent and is furnished to a high standard for the comfort of its guests.
The open gallery and the window offer a splendid view of the park.
The large bright bedroom has a double bed and satellite TV.
An extra bed for a child can be provided on request.
An extra single room can be provided either intercommunicating or independent.

Camera Cherubino (The Cherub Bedroom)
The Cherub bedroom is an elegant, bright double bedroom with satellite TV.
It is independent and is furnished to a high standard for the comfort of its guests.
Its windows offer a splendid view of the park.

Camera Gialla (The Yellow Bedroom)
The yellow bedroom (double/triple) is independent and looks out on to the Tuscan hills.
The room is large and bright and has satellite TV.

EXERCISE AREA/GYM
This large room is equipped with a rowing-machine, a stepper, a bench for toning
stomach muscles and weights.
LOUNGE
Guests can relax in this room with its comfortable settees and dining table.
Guests are at liberty to come and go through the main gate and can park in the grounds.
The villa disposes of parking space for three cars. In addition, the park area directly in front
of the villa offers wonderful opportunities for relaxation (the other half is reserved for private use).
There is a laundry with both a washing-machine and a drying-machine.
In addition there are bicycles for guests who wish to visit the area by bike.
Nearby (about 2km) there is an open air swimming pool.
Villa Domini is situated in one of the most well-known and picturesque places in Tuscany,
the Pisan Hills, famous also for their terraces and olive groves. In the immediate vicinity,
the 12th century church of St. Gorge and the ruins of the Villa Grandiana (14th century) named
after the famous mathematician Grandi who once lived there, are both worth a visit.
Vicopisano a marvellous renaissance town with a castle and ancient walls by Brunelleschi is only
a few kilometres away. Villa Domini is only 3 km from the dual carriageway S.G.C. FI-PI-LI which
links Lugnano to the main cities in Tuscany such as Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Siena and the seaside
resorts of Versilia as well as the spa towns of Montecatini and S. Giuliano Terme.
